One of the top streaming stars on Twitch, Amazon's livestreaming platform, responded to the reversal of his 5-day ban with a skit that has since gone viral to call out the platform for costing him thousands of dollars.

In a video satirizing the ordeal, streamer PayMoneyWubby dressed as a clown and pretended to be a Twitch staffer before showing off the two-sentence explanation for the mistaken suspension.

PayMoneyWubby is the most gifted channel on Twitch, meaning that his viewers gift the most subscriptions to other users. He also has a popular YouTube channel, and makes a lot of content criticizing platforms like YouTube and TikTok – some of which is lauded, and some of which is pretty controversial.

On November 15, the streamer tweeted that he had gotten banned from Twitch, his primary platform, for livestreaming at a restaurant. PayMoneyWubby says he had received permission from the restaurant's management to do so, but Twitch issued a 14-day suspension on his channel for "invading the privacy of others," according to a screenshot of an email PayMoneyWubby tweeted out.

After four days without hearing back from a member of Twitch's team, PayMoneyWubby's account was unbanned on the fifth day of his suspension. The email he received, which he displayed in his return livestream, said "Your account was recently suspended or blocked due to a mistake on our part. I've gone ahead and reversed this suspension on your account, so you are free to use our services again."

In addition to displaying the email, PayMoneyWubby performed a skit as a member of Twitch's support team while dressed as a clown. He re-enacted a satirical version of the ban, referencing other issues on the platform, including verified sexual content (recently, a channel streaming "Fortnite" pornography was recommended to Twitch users) and a cat-throwing incident involving a controversial female streamer who has avoided getting banned.

PayMoneyWubby also said in the stream that he had missed out on "thousands" of dollars while he was suspended, and said that brands had backed out of partnerships with him. He isn't the only video creator who has dealt with the financial fallout of mistaken suspensions – multiple YouTubers previously told Insider about the loss of livelihood from mistaken bans on YouTube, too.

Neither PayMoneyWubby nor Twitch immediately responded to Insider's request for comment.
